This serene retreat offers just eight generously sized camping pitches, thoughtfully divided between the lush meadow and tranquil orchard, each adorned with a picnic bench and a rocket stove for cosy outdoor dining.
Situated in an area renowned for its dark skies, guests can immerse themselves in celestial wonders while enjoying communal amenities such as a well-equipped kitchen, a relaxing chill-out area, meditation classes, and rejuvenating sound baths.
The campsite features spacious grass pitches devoid of electric hook-ups, allowing guests to fully embrace the natural surroundings. Solar-powered fairy lights gently illuminate pathways, guiding campers through the enchanting landscape. Embracing a philosophy of rewilding, the site owners have nurtured the land to attract a variety of wildlife, providing campers with the opportunity to observe visiting birds from their pitches.
Each camping pitch is furnished with a rocket stove and picnic bench, inviting guests to savour al fresco meals beneath the twinkling night sky. For rainy days, a communal field shelter offers a covered dining area within the meadow.
Guests can unwind in the campsite's cosy chill-out room housed in the barn, which also provides local information, comfortable seating and a selection of books. The onsite chickens offer a delightful opportunity for guests to collect fresh eggs, while additional experiences such as massages, meditation classes, reiki sessions, sound baths and spoon carving workshops are available upon booking.
Venture out to explore the captivating landscapes of Dorset, with the renowned Jurassic Coast just a 15-minute drive away and the popular destination of Lyme Regis reachable within 30 minutes. The nearby town of Bridport, only ten minutes away, beckons with its vibrant market, eclectic shops and enticing restaurants.
While campfires are permitted exclusively in the communal fire pit or rocket stoves, BBQs must be elevated off the ground and disposable BBQs are prohibited. Please note that Old Bidlake Farm is a dog-free site, ensuring a peaceful and harmonious environment for all guests.
