The Red Lion Shepherd's Huts offer outstanding glamping accommodation in the pretty village of Northmoor. Nestled in a glorious countryside setting in Oxfordshire, we are perfect for an unforgettable holiday. You can visit lots of attractions in Witney and further afield, including Blenheim Palace, Buscot Park and The Cotswold Wildlife Park.

We have three beautifully furnished and luxurious shepherd's huts available: The Den, The Burrow and The Nest. The huts have been built to the highest standards and come with toasty wood burners to keep you warm in the winter months.

All the huts come with modern en suite facilities and a comfortable bed to rest your head on at night. Each hut each a high-quality kitchen and seating area. Outside each hut is a table and chairs. The perfect place for a morning coffee whilst the sun is rising.

Our huts are in The Red Lion’s landscaped gardens. The award-winning pub offers delicious food and a good selection of locally produced craft ales and lagers, locally made soft drinks and wines.

Bounded by the River Britt and the main road into West bay, the campground comprises two large fields and is just a couple of minutes walk from the beach, shops and harbour. Britt Valley opens mid-July to early August and then Britt River opens until early September.

Wolford Wood near Moreton-in-Marsh offers wonderful camping and glamping experience in a stunning setting. Nestled in 200 acres of woodland and wild pasture in Gloucestershire, they are the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life.

They have 3 Avalon Cabins and The Woodman's cabin. Their quirky glamping accommodation offers a unique experience in a woodland setting. Each cabin comes with its own private decking area with seating and a fire pit. The ideal space to relax with a glass of wine on a summer evening whilst listening to birdsong. All the cabins come with bedding, blankets and towels.

All glampers have use of a covered outdoor kitchen with a sink, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, camping stove, crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots and pans. The site also has a hot-water outside shower, compost toilets and hand basins.

There's also plenty of space for pitching tents. Campers can choose their pitch and will be shown suitable areas on arrival.

You can enjoy wandering around the meadows and fields or visit the nearby village of Moreton-In-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton and Bourton-on-the-Water. Each comes with a great variety of shops, tea rooms, restaurants and pubs. Fantastic attractions in the area include:

Whitemead Forest Park in Parkend offers stunning facilities for campers, tourers and glampers. Our campsite near Lydney is in acres of beautiful woodland. They are ideal for an unforgettable holiday in Gloucestershire.
Their camping and caravanning fields are surrounded by glorious woodland. They have grass caravan pitches of various sizes with electric hookups. Grass tent pitches measuring 8m x 8m with 16amp electric hookups are also available. They are suitable for single tents. Gravel hardstanding, part gravel/part grass and non-electric grass tent pitches are also available.

There are 29 eco-friendly glamping pods available. All the pods include bed linen, a USB socket and a TV with DVD player.

They also have a range of cabin/lodges and apartments available. In total, they have 17 cabins, 16 lodges and 31 apartments. The cabins/lodges sleep up to 6 people and are tastefully furnished throughout. They all come with an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. You can also relax on the lovely veranda, ideal for a morning coffee whilst the sun is rising.

Their apartments are well-equipped and enjoy great views across the park and woodland. They include a cosy open plan living/dining/kitchen area and comfortable bedrooms, some with en suite facilities. Each lodge has its own garden, patio and BBQ.

Excellent onsite facilities include a spa, gym, pool, bar, restaurants and a well-stocked bar to suit all your needs.

There are some fantastic things to see and do in the local area and Whitemead guests can get discounted rates at some of the top attractions. Only an hour away from Whitemead is the Cotswold Motoring Museum, situated in the beautiful Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Water. For the children, there's Brum, the little yellow car from the hit children's BBC TV series and for the adults, a trip through the more romantic age of motoring. Glenbrittle Campsite was founded in 1961 and was voted No 1 UK Campsite by The Daily Telegraph. Located on the rugged west coast of the Isle of Skye at the foot of the Black Cuillin mountain range and Loch Brittle beach, this campsite is the perfect antidote to the pressures of modern living.

The site features pitches in natural pockets spread liberally across the field and down towards the expansive beach at Loch Brittle. Showers and WC facilities are located nearby with convenient vehicle access tracks for unloading camping equipment.

There are 34 hard standings for caravans and motorhomes with electric hookups and Cuillin Coffee Co is now available.

This is an ideal base for some of the finest rock climbing and hill walking in Britain, the site is popular with devotees of the natural site and offers a wild camping experience with the added advantage of facilities nearby.
