Hillcroft Park, Pooley Bridge, Penrith, Cumbria

Hillcroft Park is a family run camping and caravan park that includes eco camping pods and lots of facilities. The park is located on the outskirts of Pooley Bridge, set within the Lake District and is about 6 miles from Penrith in Cumbria. This is a great park for families and for couples wanting to get away and explore the Lake District.

They are ideally situated on the outskirts of Pooley Bridge and are regularly used as a base from which to explore the Lake District and all it has to offer. They mainly cater for families and couples on the park. Theye currently have Touring Pitches and Camping Pitches with electric hook ups and 16 Pods.

There is an up to date play park for the children, free shower and toilet facilities including Baby Changing and a small shop, providing some of the essentials that you may need while staying with us. They also have a fully equipped laundry for the use of guests.

Please note - Pitches may need levelling blocks due to the nature of the park.

Pods are suitable for couples or families with up to 4 Children. They are equipped with a light, heater and are carpeted, however, you are required to bring your own bedding (i.e. air beds, pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, etc.) and other accessories as you would if you were camping. Think of it as going camping, but they provide you with a Pod rather than a tent. Pods are available in 2 sizes plus the Hobbit House. Gazebo's are not allowed in the Pod area.

Situated just beside the beautiful village of Pooley Bridge, nestled on the fellside overlooking Ullswater, Hillcroft Park is the perfect location for holidays and short stays within the Lake District. Fine walking and cycling opportunities abound, straight from the park. In addition, for the energetic, there is hang-gliding, climbing, paragliding, white water canoeing, dinghy sailing and mountain biking, all within easy reach.

There are also plenty of more gentle options to enjoy. You can explore the host of historic castles and houses in the area, such as the wonderful Dalemain Historic House and Gardens, stroll around charming Lakeland towns and villages, or you and your family can have fun at the many events happening all year round.
