Burton Springs Fishing & Holidays is a fabulous campsite nestled in the tranquil hamlet of Burton. We are surrounded by idyllic countryside at the foot of the Quantock Hills near Bridgwater, perfect for a relaxing break in Somerset.
Our scenic campsite is great for tourers, campers and glampers looking to escape the pressures of modern life. We have a purpose-built camping field, set just a short walk from Kingfisher Lake. In total. we have space for 8 tents, plus a standard belle tent. The field is close to our facilities and you are allowed to park 1 car next to your tent. We also have 17 hard-standing pitches for caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Onsite we have chemical waste disposal as well.
You can enjoy a touch of luxury in our 3 glamping pods, the perfect alternative to the traditional camping experience: Quantock View, Lakeside View and Bayley’s Rest are based alongside our two lakes, Alder Pool and Kingfisher Lake; ideal for relaxing with a morning coffee whilst savouring the view. Additionally, there is a designated recreational/BBQ area outside the pods. Each pod comes with an outside seating area, a TV/DVD player, a double bed with additional folding beds, a small table and chairs, kettle, power, heating and lights.
We offer a wonderful camping experience in our two charming lotus belle tents. Our standard tent has 1 double and 2 single beds, making it great for families. We also have Star Gazer, a lovely tent that sleeps 2 in a metal double bed, perfect for an unforgettable romantic getaway. Both tents come with a porch and seating areas, plus solar power lights and a small USB power charger.
Facilities onsite include a shop that sells essentials, drinks, snacks and healthy bites. We have 8 purpose-built shower/toilet/sink cubicle units. There is also 1 wheelchair-accessible toilet/shower unit toilet. A small recreational room comes with board games, a dartboard and a Fussball table, whilst children will love the woodchipped playground area.
We have 3 gorgeous fishing lakes which are a fishing enthusiast's paradise. Kingfisher lake is one of the South West’s most prestigious catfish lakes, whilst Alder Pool offers a mixed coarse fishing lake. Specimen Carp has carp up to 30lbs.
While staying with us you discover all that West Somerset and the Exmoor coastline has to offer. Visit historic Cheddar Gorge, home to Britain's biggest gorge and great for trekking around whilst savouring the views. Head to the quirky town of Glastonbury and see the majestic ruins of Glastonbury Abbey. Alternatively, explore Hetercombe House and wander around its stunning gardens.
Further attractions to visit include West Somerset Railway, Dunster Castle and Watermill, Tarr Steps, Dunkery Beacon & Wimbleball Lake.
