Whitegate Leisure Caravan & Campsite is set in a beautiful rural location, with an abundance of countryside walks for you to enjoy that start right from their site entrance. The picturesque village of Holmfirth is only a 40 min walk away and the famous Holmfirth Vineyard is a stone’s throw from the site that you can reach by a 15 min stroll down the hill. Guests can expect to see some of the best views of Holme Valley right here on site.
Whether camping, caravanning or motorhoming we have no doubt if you love the countryside, enjoy walking, horse riding, cycling, or simply want to relax in a peaceful setting you will love this location. The famous cycling “Route 68” passes along the bottom of our site. They also have some amazing and well-established walking routes right on their doorstep, including the challenging walk/cycle route that will lead you up Holme Moss, 525m above sea level with breathtaking views, part of The Tour de France route for 2014.
The village of Holmfirth has plenty for all with its array of local shops, café’s, wine bars and a variety of eateries it has something for everyone. It even has a park for the kids and Longley's café’ where they sell their delicious Ice Cream.
They allow BBQ’s on legs raised off the ground by a minimum of 30cms. Well behaved dogs are also welcome, all we ask is that they are always kept on a lead whilst on site and you take them off-site for their daily business.
From March this year, we will be allowing seasonal pitches – please enquire for details.
On site facilities include a new toilet & shower block, on outside washing-up area, water point and blue waste disposal. We offer pitches with electric hook-up on a field that we have hardcored and then re-surfaced with grass to ensure the look and feel of the countryside is always around you and WIFI is free for all visitors.
