Meadowhead - Mortonhall Caravan & Camping Park, Edinburgh
Meadowhead - Mortonhall Caravan and Camping Park is an ideal base for exploring the City of Edinburgh, The Lothians and the Pentland Hills as well as a perfect location for the Edinburgh Festival. The park is open all year and set within a traditionally managed country estate so you feel out in the country yet within the City of Edinburgh. Ideally located with excellent, regular, public transport into the city every 10 minutes - this location is hard to beat! Mortonhall is the closest park to Edinburgh city centre and the links to the city and all the action are unbeatable. Facilities on the estate include the Stable Bar & Restaurant, Mortonhall Garden Centre and café and farm shop.

Campers have the option of grass pitches with an option of electricity hookups. Tourers have access to grass pitches and hard-standing pitches with EHUs (some with water hook-ups). The site welcomes tents, motorhomes, RV’s, campervans, caravans, pre-arranged groups and pets are welcome with miles of walks available on the doorstep. The park is very well equipped with amenities for campers and tourers. Amenity buildings, Water taps, Elsan disposal, Washing up facilities, kitchen, launderette and children’s playground.
Alternatively, why not try our Thistle graded two and three-bed fully equipped for self-catering holiday homes, available sleeping for up to six or eight people. All are centrally heated and double glazed as standard, some with balconies and one that is wheelchair friendly.
For glampers, bijou shepherd's huts are perfectly sized for two. An idyllic and independent retreat, the huts have a king-size bed, a small kitchen area and en-suite facilities. You'll also have plenty of mod cons, including a smart TV and DAB radio.
Families or groups of friends can hire a wigwam pod, which sleeps five and is very well-insulated. These wooden pods are like camping but without any of the hassle of a tent. Mattresses are provided inside too, just remember your sleeping bags and cooking items. Inside the wigwam, we provide an electric heater, fridge, kettle, microwave and TV for a proper glam experience.
With so much to see and do in and around the capital city, you’ll be spoilt for choice. The world-renowned Edinburgh Festival during the summer months, Edinburgh Christmas and Hogmanay, Edinburgh Castle, Zoo, Royal Yacht Brittania, National Museums, Art galleries and many more attractions. Edinburgh even have a beach at Portobello!
