The Blackberries Camping Park, Monkton Farleigh, Bath, Wiltshire

The Blackberries Camping Park is in a beautiful part of rural Wiltshire, at Monkton Farleigh near Bath. This is a fantastic base for couples, friends and families who are looking for a relaxing breakaway and are just a short drive from many attractions and places of interest.

They are proud to offer a quiet and peaceful place to stay when visiting Wiltshire. They ask that noise is kept to a minimum before 11 pm and 8 am. This is a family-friendly site and therefore children will be playing. Please be mindful of this when driving on the site.

Facilities include:

Electric hookup.
Built-in firepit - (please note that wood must not be collected from the site woodland. Large logs of ‘green’ wood do not burn. We do acknowledge that children enjoy collecting kindling for the fire and this is permitted. All wood burned on the firepits must be pre-cut. Bags of pre-cut wood may be purchased on-site).
Low-level lighting is available on site but is kept to a minimum so that nightlife is not disturbed which includes the ancient bat colony that nests at the nearby ‘Browns Folly’. Please remember to bring a torch!
Toilets and hot showers with separate male/female facilities
Washing up facilities
Free hot water
Drinking water standpipes
Wastewater disposal/elsan point.
An extremely well-stocked lending library of books of local interest including local pub walks, maps and leaflets available at reception.

For those who want to enjoy a different type of stay, why not book one of the pods, shepherd’s huts or bell tent. Glamping is the perfect way for the whole family to enjoy a camping experience, without the hassle of putting up a tent or lugging heavy camping gear. The benefits of a ‘Pod’ or ‘Shepherds Hut’ holiday:

No lugging of heavy camping gear.
No time lost erecting or taking down your tent.
No listening to flapping tent canvas during the night.
Cosy, dry and warm environment.
Pods and shepherds hut are fully insulated so warm in winter, cool in summer.

The beautiful and fully equipped 5m bell tent is a fabulous way to spend a few days away with friends. Sleeping up to 6 adults, there is plenty of ‘wiggle room’. If you’re new to Bell Tent camping, then you’re in for a different experience. Our bell tents are particularly suitable for ladies ‘retreats’ or for families.

The site is just 4 miles from the Georgian city of Bath and 3 miles from the picturesque Saxon town of Bradford-on-Avon. Some of the other interesting places to visit from this camping park include Lacock, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge and Stonehenge. For those who enjoy spending time in the great outdoors, you will not be short of places to walk or cycle. They are on the edge for The Cotswolds which are home to various cycleways, lanes and bridleways. From nearby Bradford on Avon, you can hire bikes, boats and canoes to further expand your adventures.

The Kingsdown Golf Club is virtually on the doorstep for those interested in 18 holes.
