From your pitch, you will get spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains of Blencathra, Skiddaw and Helvellyn. Our large camping field comes with flat and well-drained pitches. Electric and non-electric pitches are available. The grass pitches for caravans and motorhomes have recently been updated to include all-weather standing surfaces with individual ground level inlets and 16 amp electrical hook up bollards.
We are within easy reach of Sca Fell and the nearby Lakes of Derwentwater, Ullswater and the majestic Lakeland scenery of Bassenthwaite and Braithwaite. It's just over a mile walk to the nearest eating place in the delightful village of Threlkeld and approximately 3 miles to the pretty market town of Keswick.
The campsite is around 1/2 a mile from the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle. The site is surrounded by an open bowl of hills, just right for relaxing and de-stressing in the idyllic setting. If you are more adventurous, we are ideally situated for walking, water sports, fishing, rock climbing, cycling, pony riding, golf, paragliding and all the other attractions in the North Lakes.
