Down On The Farm is situated in rural Aberdeenshire near Fraserburgh and offers the best of both worlds to camping enthusiasts.

High Seas Hobbits - We have 2 delightful Hobbits, each of which is fully insulated and will keep guests cosy and dry. One Hobbit has a double bed and two singles, comfortably sleeping up to 4 people. The other Hobbit sleeps 2 people (or 3 if it includes a small person!) and can either be presented with a double bed or two single beds. We are open all year round. Hidden within the unusual exterior you will find everything you need for your luxury camping holiday; a kettle, microwave, fridge, crockery and cutlery. The comfortable interior is decked out in nautical colours, right down to the blankets and cushions for when you want to tuck yourself away with a good book. In the unlikely event that you tire of the views, there is a TV for your entertainment too.

Coastal Carriage - Packed full of character and charm, it will enchant anyone looking for a private, relaxing retreat in the unspoiled Aberdeenshire countryside. What the Carriage lacks in utilities, is more than made up for with lashings of compensatory comforts (and views). The wood-burning stove has a great capacity not only to keep you toasty but also to help you cook. The hot plate is easy to manage and our well-equipped cupboards provide all you need to prepare your meals comfortably. For a small space, you will be surprised at the large shower room inside the carriage. An authentic bush shower filled with water from either the stove or the gas ring will help you discover how the pace of life can be slowed down and appreciated. The tap water is from our very own spring, perfect for cooking with, but you may prefer to bring your own water to drink. As you’re in your own private field, there is no electricity. Going without telly, Wi-Fi and mobile is one thing, but we believe going completely off the grid as well adds a certain joyful thrill of disconnectedness to your holiday. (Don’t worry, if the lack of Wi-Fi really is too much for you, we will happily charge your phone for you!)

Harvest Hut - Once used by farmworkers for humble accommodation, it has been sensitively converted into a fun and unique living space, which sleeps 3. It continues to be off-grid as it would have been throughout its working life and it proudly displays a few hints towards its past. The added luxuries of a wood-burning stove, bright and colourful furnishings and proper beds (1 double and 1 single) makes Harvest Hut the ideal getaway from the modern world of smartphones, digital devices and fingertip technology.
