Long Valley Yurts, Coniston, Cumbria

Long Valley Yurts offer charming glamping accommodation at Moss Side Farm near Coniston. They are nestled on a working Lakeland hill farm in Cumbria, perfect for the ultimate rural retreat in a stunning countryside setting.

Their 7 fabulous yurts are a true haven for outdoor lovers looking to escape the pressure of modern life. They blend the outdoors and indoors seamlessly, offering everything you need for a magical getaway. The farm is based in a secluded and tranquil location at the foot of Duddon Valley, offering amazing views over Kirkby Pool and the Duddon estuary. Around the farm you can even see Herdwick sheep and lambs, Hereford cattle, ponies, pigs, ducks and hens to complete your country escape.

All the yurts are beautifully furnished with a gorgeous Moroccan theme, including woollen rugs, bright colourful throws, twinkling fairy lights and solar lighting. Stay toasty in front of the wood-burning stove and stargaze at the night sky through the large skylight. A fully equipped kitchen comes with a functional kitchen to suit all your needs. Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep on the futon-style beds which include doubles and singles. They even provide freshly laundered linen for all beds including cotton sheets, feather pillows and duvets.

You also have use of onsite amenities such as campfire pits with every yurt, clean toilets, washing-up area, showers, plug sockets & fresh eggs. Six of the yurts also include a luxurious Scandinavian wood-fired hot tub, ideal for soaking yourself in whilst enjoying a glass of fizz. The hot tubs are big enough for six people.

You can make the most of the area whilst staying with them. A 30-minute stroll along the old railway will take you to the quaint village of Broughton which has an award-winning bakery and butchers, plus a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants. You can also walk to the Blacksmith Arms which offers brilliant food and is on the other side of the hill. The beautiful Lakeland village of Coniston offers breathtaking lakes, scenic cycle rides and wild swimming. You can relax on the beaches at Haverigg or Silecroft which is also 15 minutes away. Superb attractions to visit include Brantwood, Coniston Copper Mines, Dow Crag, The Ruskin Museum & Levers Water Beck.
