Swinton Bivouac, Ilton, Masham, North Yorkshire

Swinton Bivouac is set amongst truly breathtaking scenery at Ilton, near Masham in North Yorkshire. Our glamping accommodation is suitable for couples, friends and family who want a break away from the hustle and bustle of modern-day living.

Our yurts and tree lodges are in a beautiful part of the Swinton Estate, which covers over 20,000 acres of the Yorkshire countryside.

Tree Lodges: We have six secluded lodges available. Each lodge can sleep up to 7 people in a king-size bed, double bed and three single beds. Each lodge has a range and gas hob for cooking and the hot water is heated by the wood burner.

Meadow Yurts: Nestled into the side of a hill with sweeping views of the North Yorkshire Countryside and a short stroll from the Bivouac shop and cafe is our small community of seven Meadow Yurts. They each can sleep up to 5 people in a double and three single beds. A wood-burning stove can be found in each yurt and we provide wood to fuel your fire.

Our yurts are suitable for all and we have two dog-friendly lodges available for those who wish to bring their canine companions.

The Bivouac cafe is the perfect watering hole for our resident guests and visiting walkers, families and friends. With snacks and uncomplicated dishes made from local produce, feel free to pop in for coffee and cake, a light lunch or make an evening of it and enjoy a delicious meal in this distinctive setting.

We want you to get the most out of your stay. Situated near Masham, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, there is an abundance of places to explore and an array of activities for you to get stuck in to, including craft workshops, children’s events and outdoor activities.
