It
is very safe for children - with space for them to run and have a wonderful
time, and is ideal for both country loving families and couples, with sheep,
goats, cattle, horses, ponies and extensive wildlife on the land. A car is
essential, as public transport is virtually non-existent in the immediate
vicinity.
The
little wood, ‘Cackles Corner’ (which used to be home for the chickens), is a
haven for birds of all sorts, as are the surrounding fields and hedges. Take a walk through the 13 acres of ‘Snapdown
Wood’, home to badgers, foxes, buzzards and other wildlife. For your evening stroll, there are walks
through the fields and woods on the 107 acre North Devon farm.
If
you are very lucky (and quiet) you may spot some wild red Exmoor deer - a truly
lovely sight, and at dawn and dusk you may spot a badger.
