Henstent Park, Llangynog, Powys

Henstent Park in Llangynog, Powys, offers peaceful motorhome and camping accommodation in a stunning rural setting on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Located near the town of Bala and set on the fringes of the Berwyn mountain range, the park enjoys far-reaching views across unspoilt Welsh countryside, making it an ideal base for exploring Snowdonia, walking in the hills and enjoying the natural beauty of North Wales.

The site features 25 pitches for tourers, motorhomes and trailer tents, all with electric hook-up and shared water points. A limited number of hard-standing pitches are also available. Guests can take the worry, hassle and expense out of towing by leaving their caravan at Henstent Park for the whole season. Winter storage is available if required, allowing caravans to remain on a chosen pitch over the winter, safe and ready for use in the following season.

Excellent camping facilities are also available. Set in a small, peaceful corner of the River Tanat, the camping area is ideal for small tents. The camping lounge offers a complimentary fridge/freezer and microwave, along with a sofa, table, chairs and TV for guests to enjoy.

The park benefits from a range of facilities including a dedicated park reception, launderette, information centre and a centrally heated shower block with complimentary hot showers.

Henstent Park lies in a truly idyllic location near the village of Llangynog. The village sits midway between Welshpool, Oswestry and Bala, right on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Nearby attractions include RSPB Lake Vyrnwy, Lake Bala and the impressive Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall. Visitors can also explore several National Trust properties such as Erddig in Wrexham, Chirk Castle, Powys Castle, Plas Newydd and Bodnant Gardens. The popular village of Betws-y-Coed, known for its dramatic waterfalls, is within easy reach, as is Llangollen, famous for its picturesque canal and horse-drawn boats.
