Red Kite Touring Park is a family-run, adults-only touring park located near the charming market town of Llanidloes. Set on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains, it offers a peaceful retreat in stunning countryside, with far-reaching views down the Clywedog Valley.

Camping

The campsite offers three electric hook-up hardstanding pitches and two grass pitches with electric hook-up, all operating on a pre-payment system.

Yurts & Bell Tents

Guests can choose from a variety of glamping options to suit their preferences. The impressive 18ft fully insulated yurt provides year-round comfort and comfortably sleeps up to six people. During the summer months, fully equipped bell tents and yurts offer a stylish and relaxed glamping experience.

Shepherd’s Hut

The charming shepherd’s hut provides a cosy and memorable stay. It features a Belfast sink, a spacious king-size bunk bed, two single beds, an undercounter fridge and an electric heater. Outside, guests can enjoy a log-fuelled hot tub and beautiful hillside views, offering a tranquil setting despite being conveniently close to the A303. The hut is ideally located for exploring Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire. Please note, pets and infants are not permitted in the shepherd’s hut.

Fire pits are available on site, with logs and firelighters supplied for £10, available to purchase from the on-site shop.

On-Site Facilities

The Jolly Farmer pop-up bar and café operates on site. The café serves breakfast from 10am–1pm daily during high season and on Saturdays and Sundays in low season. The bar is open from 4pm–11pm on Fridays in February and March, and on Fridays and Saturdays from April to August. An open mic night takes place on the last Thursday of every month.

Local Area

The surrounding area offers excellent fishing opportunities, including carp, coarse and catfish fishing. Shearwater Lakes, Todber Manor, Coking Farm and Higher Farm are all within a 30-minute drive. Wincanton Racecourse is just 10 minutes away, while popular attractions such as Glastonbury, Longleat and Stonehenge can all be reached within 45 minutes, making Sunny Hill Campsite an ideal base for exploring the region.
