Gwerniago Campsite is located in the heart of Mid Wales, at the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park. Set on a family-run working farm managed by a Welsh-speaking family, the campsite lies on the edge of Pennal village within the beautiful and unspoilt Dyfi (Dovey) Valley.
The shower and toilet block includes four individual toilets and a fully accessible disabled shower and toilet room at the rear of the building. At the front, separate male and female shower facilities each provide two cubicles along with washbasins. In the centre of the building, a family room offers a bath with an overhead shower, toilet and washbasin, making it particularly suitable for families with young children who may require supervision.
Next to the building there is a washing-up sink, while outside, under cover, two additional sinks with hot water are available for washing dishes. The hot water is heated using solar panels, with electricity as a backup, and there is no extra charge for using these facilities. A coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer are also available on site.
A wooden cabin provides a small seating area along with fridges, a freezer and power points for charging phones and other devices, as well as local information for visitors.
The campsite is popular with walkers, cyclists and families. It enjoys elevated views across the beautiful Dyfi Valley, woodland and nearby riverside walks. Campfires are permitted, adding to the relaxed outdoor atmosphere.
For those seeking a more leisurely pace, the surrounding area offers golden beaches, woodland strolls, historic attractions and scenic countryside walks, all set within the peaceful landscapes of the Welsh countryside and Snowdonia National Park.
Gwerniago Farm Caravan is located beside the campsite in a quiet, separate area with uninterrupted views across the open countryside. The caravan accommodates up to four people (a maximum of four adults) and includes one double bedroom and one twin room. Beds are made up ready for guests as required.
