Greendale Farm Caravan & Camping Park is a small, adults-only tranquil campsite located in Whissendine near Oakham. Its setting among the rolling countryside of Rutland offers far-reaching views and a peaceful base for a touring break.
The park has fourteen open and well-spaced pitches which have been carefully positioned within the landscape. Thirteen are hardstanding pitches and one is grass. Every pitch has an electric hook-up.
Facilities include a heated shower and toilet block and free Wi-Fi. The information area has local maps and guides for walking or cycling. The onsite shop stocks drinks, snacks, toiletries and everyday essentials. Local products are available alongside ice creams, free-range eggs and dog treats.
The small outdoor swimming pool opens whenever possible during the high season. It is heated by an air-source heat pump and powered by solar energy. The paved poolside area has free sun loungers and a small daily charge applies for using the pool.
Greendale is dog-friendly and committed to conservation. Whissendine village is a pleasant walk away and has a shop, post office, dog-friendly pub and working windmill. Rutland Water has nature reserves and routes for walking or cycling alongside water sports and fly fishing. Oakham is approximately four miles away. Melton Mowbray, Uppingham and Stamford are also within travelling distance.
