Whitemead Forest Park – Camping, Touring & Glamping in the Forest of Dean

Whitemead Forest Park in Parkend provides a superb setting for campers, tourers and glampers alike. Nestled within acres of stunning woodland near Lydney, this well-appointed campsite offers a truly unforgettable getaway in the heart of Gloucestershire.

Surrounded by tranquil forest, the camping and caravanning fields feature a selection of grass caravan pitches of various sizes with electric hook-ups. Tent campers can choose from 8m x 8m grass pitches with 16-amp electric hook-ups, suitable for single tents. Additional options include gravel hardstanding, part gravel/part grass, and non-electric grass pitches to cater to different needs.

A wide range of glamping pods is available, each thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. All pods include bed linen, a USB socket, and a TV with DVD player.

B&B Glamping Pod: These cosy pods offer hotel-style comfort with the added benefit of breakfast served at the on-site restaurant.

Mega Pods: Spacious and accommodating up to four guests with a double bed and corner sofa bed. Guests have access to toilet and shower facilities in the nearby amenities block.

Mega Pods X: Designed for up to four people, featuring two double beds, a private toilet, wash hand basin, and shower. Outside, a delightful picnic area complements the fully equipped kitchen.

Mega Pod XL: Sleeping four in two double beds, these pods include a private toilet, wash basin, and shower. The kitchen/living space is well-equipped, and guests can unwind in the outdoor picnic area.

For larger groups or longer stays, Whitemead also offers a variety of cabins, lodges and apartments. Each cabin or lodge sleeps up to six guests and features stylish interiors with an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. A private veranda offers the perfect spot for morning coffee.

Apartments are equally well-equipped, boasting scenic views across the park and surrounding woodland. These include a cosy open plan living/dining/kitchen area, comfortable bedrooms, and some with en suite facilities. Each lodge also comes with its own garden, patio and BBQ area.
