Hook Farm, West Hoathly, East Grinstead, West Sussex

Hook Farm is tucked away in a picturesque corner of the West Sussex countryside, in the charming village of West Hoathly near East Grinstead. The campsite is made up of peaceful meadows and small woodland copses, offering a back-to-nature experience where campers can truly unwind in the heart of the British countryside — all while treading lightly on the environment.

There are no permanent structures on site; facilities are kept simple with cold running water, toilets, and showers available. Campfires are welcome, and logs can be purchased for £6 per bag. Whether travelling solo or as part of a family group, all are warmly welcomed at Hook Farm.

To preserve the peaceful atmosphere for guests and local neighbours, a no music policy is in place. Friendly, well-behaved dogs are more than welcome and can stay free of charge — all that’s asked is they are kept under control.

Just a five-minute walk from the site lies the historic village of West Hoathly, accessed via the cricket pitch, tennis courts, and Bowls Club. The area boasts a wonderful network of public footpaths through farmland, woodland, and nearby villages, with spectacular views stretching across the High Weald all the way to the South Downs.
