Laurel Farm Glamping is a secluded countryside site in Mark near Highbridge. Surrounded by Somerset wildlife, it is home to three luxury couples’ pods and two larger family pods. Nesting swans and herons are regularly seen on site alongside a variety of other birds. Owls, kingfishers and birds of prey are also often spotted nearby.
The couples’ pods sleep two and feature a double bed, sofa and drop-down table. The family pods sleep four and include a double bed, bunk beds, sofa and table. Every pod is double-glazed and fully insulated for comfortable stays throughout the year.
Inside each pod is an en-suite shower room and a small kitchen area plus electric heating, Wi-Fi and a smart television. Guests will also find a Bluetooth speaker, outdoor seating and USB and mains sockets. Bed linen, bathroom towels and hot tub towels are provided as well as complimentary milk and a welcome pack on arrival.
Each pod has a private hot tub beside it complete with a privacy screen. A shared kitchen and dining area provides an electric oven, microwave and additional fridge space. Guests can also use the games cupboard and communal fire pit which is stocked with wood daily. An honesty shop sells marshmallows and other snacks.
Days out are within easy reach at Burnham-on-Sea, Wells, Cheddar Gorge and Glastonbury Tor. The beaches at Berrow and Brean are nearby as well as walks at Brean Down and Brent Knoll. The surrounding area also has opportunities for cycling, fishing, golf, swimming, watersports and climbing. Local village pubs, farm shops, independent shops and farmers’ markets provide a varied choice of places to eat and shop.
