Drybeck Farm is on the banks of the River Eden just outside the Cambrian village of Armathwaite. The farm provides a selection of accommodation options to provide a luxury outdoor holiday. This is the ideal setting for a back-to-nature experience and for those wishing to explore the Lake District, Carlisle and the Pennines.
Guests can choose to camp or glamp when staying with us and all guests have access to our on-site facilities. For environmental reasons, we decided to install compost loos. These have been described by some of our guests as “the quaintest and cutest loos they have ever used.” We manage and maintain them very closely to ensure they are as pleasant as possible to use.
We have electric showers which provide plenty of hot water. You will also find eco-friendly shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided by ourselves. This helps us to recycle the shower water for use in our gardens.
The area surrounding the farm is ideal for relaxing. You are welcome to swim in the river or alternatively there is a swimming pool in Lazenby. If you want to travel slightly further, then the city of Carlisle is nearby with its shops, places to eat, nightlife and attractions including a castle.
