Stone Pit Meadows, Sandhurst, Kent

Stone Pit Meadows in Sandhurst offers charming glamping accommodation in a serene rural location in Kent, providing the perfect escape for a relaxing countryside break. Nestled off a quiet country lane and surrounded by 40 acres of rolling vineyards, ancient woodland, and wildflower meadows, this peaceful site offers a true retreat into nature. Guests are free to explore the grounds or take a refreshing dip in the natural swimming pond.

The site features two custom-built shepherds huts and three beautifully furnished bell tents, all thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and character.

Shepherds Huts
Guests can choose from two individually designed shepherds huts: Romney and Southdown. Each hut includes a handmade kitchen equipped with modern appliances and a breakfast bar. One end of the hut features a full en suite shower room with a flushing toilet, stocked with luxury, sustainable bath products by Bramley. At the opposite end, a cosy wood-panelled nook houses a full-size double bed with USB charging points. Outside, guests can relax in a private gravel seating area with a table, comfy chairs, and a firepit with a grill for al fresco dining.

Bell Tents
The three spacious bell tents—Primrose, Bluebell, and Anemone—provide a tranquil glamping experience. Each tent is fully furnished with a real king-size bed and comes with a cabinet stocked with crockery, cutlery, and glassware, as well as a cool box with ice packs. A private outdoor seating area includes a table, chairs, deck chairs, and a firepit with grill for outdoor cooking. Each tent is also equipped with an electricity power point and its own water tap.

Self-Pitches
For a more traditional camping experience, Stone Pit Meadows offers seven Summer Self-Pitches set within a five-acre wildflower meadow. These are available for 60 days over the summer and include five non-electric and two electric pitches, each carefully carved into the landscape for privacy and beauty.

The Local Area
The glamping site is ideally located for exploring the surrounding Kent countryside. Just 7 miles away is the town of Tenterden, which offers a variety of pubs, Italian and Turkish restaurants, and supermarkets including Waitrose and Tesco. Nearby attractions include water activities at Bodiam Boating Station and the historic Bodiam Castle, offering plenty of opportunities for adventure and sightseeing.
