Gatton Waters, Hillington, Sandringham, Norfolk

For over three decades, Gatton Waters has been a cherished retreat managed by the Donaldson family, sprawling across a 24-acre expanse in the picturesque West Norfolk countryside.

A mere 5-minute journey from the royal Sandringham Estate and a brief drive to the stunning North Norfolk Coast, Gatton Waters offers guests a tranquil haven. Its standout feature is an 8-acre, well-stocked coarse fishing lake, complemented by the surrounding lush woodlands, footpaths and abundant wildlife.

Gatton Waters is an adult-only and dog-friendly site, perfect for those in search of quiet and relaxation.

The site accommodates touring for caravans, motorhomes, campers, trailer tents and roof-mounted tents (note: traditional camping is not offered), with each spot provided with electric hook-ups.

Recent winter renovations have rejuvenated the fully licensed bar, now open on weekends and during peak season times. Additionally, WiFi has been enhanced to ensure site-wide coverage, free of charge for all guests.

While staying here you can enjoy a spot of fishing, with a well-stocked 8-acre coarse fishing lake, surrounded by fabulous footpaths, wildlife and woodlands. Day and seasonal fishing tickets are available for tourers and seasonal guests.

Venture to the gorgeous beaches in North Norfolk, with Holkham, Brancaster and Hunstanton offering some of the most beautiful coastlines in the country. In Hillington, there is a 24-hour petrol station with a cash machine and a well-stocked store. Nearby lots of excellent pubs serve delicious food and refreshing ales, including The Rose and Crown at Snettisham and the Crown at East Rudham.
