Newnes Touring Caravan Park, Ellesmere, Shropshire

Newnes Touring Caravan Park is set in the small hamlet of The Newnes, where Robin’s family have farmed for seven generations, over 150 years. We are just a short drive from Ellesmere in Shropshire. There is plenty of dog walking in the area as well as some magnificent castles and canals. Dick Whittington Cottage is next to our caravan park.

Tents are most welcome and can enjoy the superb views and location on this most beautiful and level site. They can take advantage of the superb facilities on offer, or just pitch their tent on the grassed, level site and truly get back to enjoying nature. We have 38 serviced pitches with electric and water.

There are thirty-four hook-up points each offering electric and mains water point and night lights. The site offers a chemical waste disposal point and grey water disposal point. Discrete, but easily accessible. Gas can be purchased just 5 minutes away in Ellesmere. Each of the thirty-four pitches is grassed and backing onto hedgerow. Awnings are most welcome.

The caravan park offers a three-acre lawned and level dry site. It has an elevated and sheltered setting giving breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and the Welsh hills, towards Chirk Castle, Llangollen and Worlds End. New first class toilets and showers with underfloor heating that have been awarded a 4-star rating with the National Toilet of the Year Award whose comments were "A most delightful little chalet toilet block serving the needs of surrounding caravans and campers". Clean towels are provided and there is a small info point with maps and things to do in the local area.
