Serenity Campsite
Serenity Campsite is perfectly located for exploring the stunning coastline of North Yorkshire and the beautiful North York Moors National Park. Situated just a short walk from the golden sands of Runswick Bay, famous for surfing and fossil collecting, the campsite is also within walking distance of the picturesque fishing village of Staithes.
The site is only half a mile from the Cleveland Way walking route, offering uninterrupted cliff-top walks towards Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and beyond. The historic seaside town of Whitby is just a ten-minute drive away and can also be reached using the regular bus service that stops just outside the campsite entrance.
Nestled within the village of Hinderwell, between Runswick Bay and Staithes, guests have easy access to local amenities including a village butcher selling local produce, a popular fish and chip shop, a welcoming pub serving hearty meals and an art café and bistro offering pizza and home-cooked food.
Set across five acres with beautiful views towards the North York Moors National Park, Serenity Campsite offers 20 grass pitches suitable for touring caravans and motorhomes, all with 10 amp electric hook-up available. There are also three deluxe fully serviced hard-standing pitches available. BBQs are welcome provided they are raised off the ground.
The tent camping field offers plenty of space for guests, along with a wildlife pond and dedicated BBQ area. Five additional electric hook-up points are also available for tents.
For guests looking for something a little different, the site also offers a charming shepherd’s hut complete with a double bed, TV, fairy lights and a private seating area.
Facilities on site include a family and disabled toilet block with wet room and hair drying facilities, along with heated toilets, showers and laundry facilities centrally located for convenience. A communal kitchen area is also available, featuring a washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwashing area at no additional cost.
Serenity Campsite is proudly dog friendly, with both on and off lead walks available directly from the site. Dogs are welcome but are required to remain supervised and kept on leads whilst on site, helping to protect the campsite’s free-range hens and maintain a safe and relaxing environment for all guests.
The peaceful and relaxed atmosphere of the campsite is something guests particularly enjoy, with the site embracing a peaceful camping policy to ensure everyone can fully unwind and enjoy their stay.
