Holyrood Farm Campsite is ideally situated on the edge of Shaftesbury and offers a welcoming, family-friendly setting with sweeping countryside views. Located on a secluded working farm, the campsite provides a peaceful, back-to-basics escape where guests can enjoy the rural surroundings and meet the resident sheep, alpacas and cows.
The campsite offers 50 grass pitches for tents and campervans only. All pitches are non-electric, providing plenty of space to spread out, relax or enjoy games with family and friends. The simple, traditional setup adds to the charm for those looking to switch off and fully embrace outdoor living, with evenings perfect for lighting a fire and toasting marshmallows beneath the open sky.
On-site facilities cover all the essentials and include three ladies’ toilets, one men’s toilet, an additional mobile toilet trailer, two hot showers and a washing-up area.
There are many attractions within easy reach of the campsite, including Longleat Safari Park and Stourhead, both around a 20-minute drive away. Sandbanks and access to the Jurassic Coast are approximately 40 minutes away. For food and supplies, Ye Olde Two Brewers pub is less than a mile from the site, while a Tesco in Shaftesbury is just a ten-minute walk away.
Holyrood Farm Campsite is open on selected dates in 2026: 1–4 May, 22–25 May, 12–14 June, 19–21 June, 26–28 June, 3–5 July, 10–12 July, 17–19 July, 24–26 July, 31 July–2 August and 4–31 August.
The campsite welcomes tents and campervans only and does not accommodate touring caravans or motorhomes.
