Leafy Fields Glamping offers exceptional glamping accommodation near Ashill, set in the heart of the Devon countryside. This picturesque two-acre site, located beside a working dairy farm, enjoys stunning views across the Culm Valley and provides an ideal setting for a peaceful and memorable escape. With a choice of stylish accommodation, including a cosy shepherd’s hut, two spacious safari lodges and a charming bell tent, it caters perfectly to both romantic retreats and fun-filled family holidays while offering a great base for exploring Devon’s natural beauty.
Shepherd Hut – Sleeps 4
The shepherd’s hut provides a cosy and comfortable space, ideal for a relaxing countryside escape. Situated within the garden, it features a king-size bed along with two single beds for children. Guests have access to a shower pod and flushing toilet. Facilities include a small stove, microwave, sink with hot and cold running water, a small fridge and a range of cooking essentials such as utensils, pans, crockery and a kettle.
Safari Tents – Sleeps 6
There are two beautifully furnished safari tents available, each offering a luxurious glamping experience. Both sleep up to six guests, with a king bedroom, bunk room and a king-size cabin bed. Each tent includes a shower room with a flushing toilet and shower pod. The Badger Safari Tent also features a Scandinavian Hikki Bohemen wood-fired hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
Each safari tent comes with a fully equipped kitchen, including a mini fridge, electric induction hob, mini electric oven, pans, enamel crockery, cutlery, tin mugs and acrylic glasses. Guests can enjoy meals around a farmhouse-style dining table that seats six. Outside, a decking area with seating provides a lovely spot for morning coffee, while a fire pit offers a cosy place to gather under the stars.
Bell Tent
The bell tent offers a charming alternative to traditional camping, combining comfort with a back-to-nature experience. Inside, there are two single beds and one king bed with mattresses. Cooking facilities are provided, along with private toilet and washing facilities. A campfire pack is also included, adding to the outdoor experience.
The site is autism-friendly and provides facilities for guests with hidden disabilities, as well as ramps for those with limited mobility in some accommodations. Children can enjoy the on-site play area, making it a great choice for families.
The surrounding area offers plenty to see and do, including beautiful gardens, National Trust properties, scenic walking routes, cycle paths and sandy beaches. Nearby attractions include National Trust Killerton House and Gardens, Knightshayes Court, the Bear Trail Muddy Obstacle Course and Diggerland.
Rates range from £125 to £210 per night. Dogs are welcome for an additional £30 per stay, with a dog hamper provided during their visit. The safari tents are open from March to November, while the shepherd’s hut is available all year round.
