Dittisham Hideaway offers fabulous accommodation on the edge of Dittisham, surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside near Dartmouth. With unique treehouses, handcrafted shepherd lodges and a beautifully restored vintage American Airstream, the site provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable getaway.
The Treehouses — Woodpecker, Buzzard, Pheasant and Owl — are nestled within peaceful countryside surroundings and offer a luxurious escape for families and nature lovers alike. Each treehouse sleeps two adults and up to three children, featuring a king-size bedroom and a separate room with children’s triple bunk beds. Both bedrooms include en-suite facilities and luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen is provided throughout.
The fully equipped kitchens include a range of modern appliances and a Nespresso coffee machine, while underfloor heating and wood burners ensure comfort all year round. Guests are welcomed with a hamper containing tea, coffee, bread, butter, jam, treats and a complimentary bottle of wine. Outside, each treehouse boasts a private decking area with a hot tub, hammock, BBQ and dining area, along with outdoor chess, table football and sun loungers.
The Shepherd Lodges have been handcrafted by West Country artisans and are set within an old wildflower meadow, offering a peaceful and stylish retreat. Beautiful interiors feature designer fabrics, bespoke fittings and made-to-measure furnishings.
Two lodges sleep two adults in a luxurious king-size bed, while two additional lodges accommodate two adults and one child, or two smaller children, using a pull-out sofa bed. One lodge also benefits from an adjoining Mini Shepherds Lodge with bunk beds, allowing space for up to four children alongside two adults.
Each lodge includes a fully equipped kitchen, foldaway breakfast bar, king-size bed and bathroom with a double walk-in power shower. Outside, guests can enjoy a private terrace with loungers, outdoor dining, a BBQ, hammock and traditional wood-fired cedar hot tub.
The beautifully restored 1956 Vintage American Airstream offers luxurious accommodation for two guests in a secluded woodland setting with stunning countryside views. Styled with retro charm, the Airstream includes modern comforts such as a Smart TV, sound system, Wi-Fi, induction hob, combination oven, fridge, dishwasher, power shower, underfloor heating and air conditioning.
Outside, guests can relax on the decking area with dining furniture, sun loungers, a double hammock, outdoor chess, table football and a luxurious Japanese wood-fired spa bath.
Dittisham Hideaway is perfectly located for exploring Devon’s natural beauty, with scenic walking and cycling routes nearby. Guests can enjoy riverside walks along the River Dart from Totnes through Dittisham to Dartmouth, visit the beautiful South Hams beaches or dine in one of the county’s award-winning seafood restaurants.
