Parkland Camping & Caravan Site is situated near Kingsbridge, in the heart of South Devon, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering panoramic views over Salcombe and the rolling countryside stretching towards Dartmoor.
This adult-only campsite is open all year and sits within three acres of level, mature and well-maintained grounds. It features generous grass and gravel super pitches, as well as deluxe pitches with private facilities, suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes. A range of glamping accommodation is also available, including a cabin, shepherd’s hut and camping pods.
All pitches provide a spacious area along with a free 16 amp electric hook-up, water supply, mains drainage and a private picnic bench. The modern, heated facilities are designed in a ‘hotel style’, with washrooms offering either baths or large showers. Additional amenities include dishwashing rooms, laundry facilities, a campers’ kitchen and a licensed shop.
Guests staying on deluxe pitches benefit from their own private washroom and complimentary access to a shared utility room, which is only shared between three pitches. This space includes a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster.
The Premier Super Pitches – Ensuite offer a spacious and well-equipped option for caravans, campervans, motorhomes (up to 8 metres) and tents (up to 7 metres). Each pitch includes a 10m x 5m gravel base with up to 6 metres of additional grass space, bordered by a natural hedgerow, decorative fencing and a colourful garden for added privacy. Facilities include a 16 amp electric hook-up, mains water tap, grey waste drainage and a picnic bench, along with a heated private ensuite washroom complete with a shower, toilet, washbasin, heated towel rail, hand dryer and hairdryer.
The Cowshed guest lounge provides a welcoming communal space, furnished with comfortable sofas, a dining table and chairs, and a dedicated workstation. Guests can also enjoy a lending library, board games, a large-screen TV, and complimentary tea and coffee, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind.
The site also offers a selection of glamping accommodation, including four glamping pods, one cabin and one shepherd’s hut. Garden View, the cosy cabin, features a double bed, seating area, mini kitchen, ensuite facilities and outdoor seating. Estuary View, the shepherd’s hut, includes a 5ft double bed, a small sofa, private decking with estuary views, and access to its own mini kitchen and shower/WC facilities. Blackbird and Robin pods offer an ensuite toilet and washbasin, a flexible 6ft bed, seating area, small kitchen space and an outdoor deck. Sparrow and Wren pods each include a double bed, mini kitchen facilities and decked seating areas. Guests staying in the pods also have the option to upgrade to a private washroom for an additional charge.
The campsite is ideally located for exploring the South Hams area of South Devon. Nearby, visitors can discover the historic towns of Dartmouth and Totnes, or the coastal resort of Salcombe. The South West Coast Path offers scenic walking routes, while nearby beaches such as Bantham, Thurlestone, Hope Cove, Salcombe and Blackpool Sands provide excellent spots for relaxation. Kingsbridge itself is a vibrant market town at the head of the Kingsbridge and Salcombe Estuary, often referred to as the ‘capital’ of the South Hams. A bus stop located directly outside the site provides convenient transport links for exploring the surrounding area.
