Whitemead Caravan Park is a friendly, family-run and dog-friendly campsite located in the village of Wool, close to Wareham and surrounded by the beautiful Dorset countryside. Set within five acres of peaceful rural landscape, the park provides a relaxed and welcoming environment that is ideal for couples, families and outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the area.

The site offers a variety of pitch options to suit different types of camping and touring holidays. There are grass and hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up, along with non-electric grass pitches. Whitemead Caravan Park welcomes caravans, including both single and twin axle models, as well as motorhomes, campervans and approved campervan conversions. Tents up to 4m x 6m can be accommodated on standard pitches, while larger tents can be pitched on extra-large spaces. Roof tents and trailer tents are also welcome.

Guests can enjoy a range of practical on-site facilities designed to make their stay comfortable and convenient. These include heated toilet and shower blocks, a launderette and a washing-up area. For entertainment, there is a games room featuring a pool table, darts and table football, as well as an outdoor play area for children. An on-site shop sells a selection of groceries and camping essentials, and Wi-Fi is available for an additional charge. The park also benefits from secure-coded electric gates and CCTV, with arrivals welcome between 1pm and 6pm.

Directly opposite the park is a popular local pub serving good food and offering entertainment during the high season. The village of Wool is also within easy reach and provides a range of useful amenities, including a bakery, butchers, fish and chip shop and hairdressers.

Whitemead Caravan Park is ideally positioned for exploring the stunning Dorset coast and countryside. Located close to the Purbeck Heritage Coast and just a short drive from the famous Jurassic Coast, the park offers easy access to some of the region’s most iconic landmarks. Visitors can explore Lulworth Cove and the dramatic natural arch at Durdle Door, while the historic ruins of Corfe Castle overlook the surrounding Purbeck landscape. The traditional seaside town of Swanage offers sandy beaches and classic coastal charm, and there are plenty of opportunities for walking across the Isle of Purbeck or through the nearby Wareham Forest. Popular attractions including The Tank Museum at Bovington and Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre are also within easy reach, making the park an excellent base for discovering this beautiful part of Dorset.
