Waterloo Farm Leisure – Northamptonshire/Leicestershire Border

Waterloo Farm Leisure is a peaceful rural retreat set within gently rolling countryside in the heart of England, on the border between Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. Ideally located within walking distance of Market Harborough, which is on the mainline railway network, it offers the perfect solution for guests wishing to enjoy the countryside without the need for a car.

Touring & Seasonal Pitches

The family-run site offers a select number of fully serviced pitches, all conveniently located near the Brampton Valley Way access point. Each pitch has access to dedicated toilets and a shower room and is fully serviced with electric, water and drainage.

The hard-standing pitches are gravel-topped to allow for awning pegs, with ample space to accommodate a large caravan or motorhome, awning and vehicle on the pitch itself. At the end of the site, guests will find a turning circle, chemical disposal point, refuse facilities and fresh water supply.

Wellington View Site

The Wellington View site overlooks the surrounding countryside and the on-site Wellington Fishing Lake. There are 24 equally spaced and sized pitches available for rental throughout the year, arranged in three rows of eight.

Some pitches are positioned close to the toilet and shower blocks for less-abled guests, while others offer more privacy away from the main entrance road. Each pitch is hard-standing with gravel planings on the surface and a solid base underneath. All are fully serviced with electric hook-up, water and drainage, and benefit from a grass fire gap between pitches.

Fishing is included for guests staying on the Lakeside Pitches.

Lakeside Log Cabins

Waterloo Farm Leisure also offers two lakeside log cabins: Kingfisher and Barn Owl. These contemporary cabins feature inviting décor and a balcony area for al fresco dining while enjoying views across Waterloo Lake and the surrounding countryside.

Both cabins are fully self-contained, with utilities included and all bedding and towels provided. Each cabin accommodates 3–4 guests and includes two bedrooms (a double/twin room and an adult bunk room), offering a comfortable home-from-home experience.

Butterfly Lodge

Butterfly Lodge sleeps 2–4 guests and provides luxurious accommodation with modern amenities, including ultra-fast fibre internet and stylish furnishings. The lodge offers private parking and ramp access to a large veranda with outdoor dining and scenic views.

Inside, the open-plan kitchen features modern appliances and a breakfast bar, while the living area includes a large corner sofa that can be used as a sofa bed and provides access to the veranda. The bedroom offers a comfortable double bed and Smart TV, leading through to a dressing room and a spacious bathroom with deluxe bath and shower. Guests are welcomed with a complimentary toiletry pack to enhance their stay.

Exploring the Area

Waterloo Farm Leisure is ideally placed for exploring the East Midlands, positioned on the tourist route between the Yorkshire Dales and London, and from Norfolk in the east to Oxford in the west.

The nearby town of Market Harborough is a quintessential English market town, known for its impressive architecture and excellent selection of shops, museums and galleries. It is approximately a 20-minute traffic-free walk from the site via the popular Brampton Valley Cycle Way, or an even shorter cycle ride.
