Foxhangers is a small family-run farm with a canal-side wharf offering narrowboat hire and a marina, located at the base of the iconic Caen Hill Locks. The farm provides a relaxing holiday setting, with self-catering holiday mobile homes and a peaceful campsite, all set within beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
The small campsite consists of two gently sloping paddocks, each just under one acre in size, with a total of 20 pitches. Every pitch is serviced with mains water and electricity. A well-maintained toilet and shower block is located approximately 40 yards from the camping fields, ensuring convenient access for guests.
The site also offers four holiday mobile homes, attractively positioned within the farm orchard among fruit trees and mature gardens. Each mobile home is fully equipped with central heating and double glazing, making them comfortable throughout the year. A paved patio at the front provides level access from the car, with no steps, along with ample on-site parking.
Foxhangers is ideally situated beside the canal towpath, an all-weather path perfect for cycling or leisurely walks. The impressive flight of Caen Hill Locks, a remarkable feat of late eighteenth-century engineering, creates a fascinating walk of around half an hour into the historic market town of Devizes.
Located in central Wiltshire, Foxhangers offers easy access to some of the region’s most famous landmarks, including the ancient stone circles of Avebury and Stonehenge. The surrounding Wiltshire villages are full of character, with architecture that reflects the local building materials found across the county. Nearby attractions also include the elegant Georgian city of Bath, just 15 miles away, the charming town of Bradford on Avon, and the magnificent Cathedral Close in Salisbury, often regarded as one of the finest in the country.
