Trewan Hall Camping and Caravanning, St Columb, Cornwall

Trewan Hall, a 17th-century manor house, is set in the heart of Cornwall’s north coast, between Newquay and Padstow, just a 10-minute drive from the nearest sandy beach. The Hill Family has run the site as a campsite for over 50 years, maintaining 36 acres of woodland and grounds surrounding the historic Hall. Located six miles east of Newquay and within walking distance of St. Columb Major, the site provides a peaceful yet convenient location for holidaymakers.

Camping Grounds & Pitches
The campsite is designed to blend seamlessly with its surroundings. Guests can choose from two fields, each offering a unique atmosphere:

A smaller, family-oriented field, close to the shop, barns, and play park.
A larger field, providing spacious pitches and a more secluded experience.
Pitches are not pre-allocated, allowing guests the freedom to choose their preferred location. With more space than available pitches, campers benefit from ample room and carefully controlled capacity, ensuring a comfortable stay without overstretched facilities.

Facilities & Activities
25-metre heated swimming pool, open 24th May – 31st August, with qualified supervisors in attendance. An air dome is erected over the pool in poor weather. A small charge applies.
Children’s play area, featuring swings, climbing frames, and a sandpit.
Restored barns offering table tennis, pool tables, table football, and a social space for young people to meet and enjoy music.
Library and writing room in the Hall, along with a full-sized billiards table for proficient players.
Evening Entertainment
During peak holiday periods, free entertainment is hosted most evenings in the Long Barn auditorium. The programme includes a varied selection of performances, such as folk and rock music, brass bands, magic shows, and local theatre productions. The quality of entertainment is carefully curated, ensuring an impressive and diverse range of performances rarely found on holiday sites.

Exploring Cornwall
Trewan Hall’s prime location makes it an excellent base for exploring Cornwall’s spectacular coastline and historic landmarks. The county, almost an island, is bordered by the River Tamar and surrounded by the sea on all other sides, offering breathtaking scenery. Visitors can explore Land’s End, the most westerly point of mainland Britain, and The Lizard, the country’s most southerly point.

Trewan Hall provides a unique camping experience, combining history, nature, and quality facilities, making it a perfect choice for families, couples, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
