Coppet Hill is an award-winning campsite set within 600 acres of family farmland, just three miles from the stunning Jurassic Coast. Surrounded by Dorset’s breathtaking hills, it offers a peaceful retreat for walkers, campers, and wildlife enthusiasts seeking a relaxing escape in nature.

Family Camping

Coppet Hill features two family-friendly Quiet Camping Fields, each offering just 14 spacious and secluded pitches. Designed for a tranquil camping experience, the pitches are large enough to accommodate two family-sized tents, providing plenty of space to unwind while being surrounded by wildlife and open countryside.

Pond Hideaway

Pond Hideaway is a unique off-grid retreat nestled beside the Secret Pond, just a three-minute walk from the main barn. This distinctive tent features a mezzanine bed elevated two metres among the trees, along with a sofa bed, comfortably accommodating two adults and two children. Nearby, a compost loo and LPG shower offer convenience. While beds are provided, guests are required to bring their own sleeping bags, towels, and cooking equipment. A firepit and picnic bench provide opportunities for outdoor dining, while a solar panel ensures lighting inside the tent. Overlooking Pilsdon and the Marshwood Vale, this secluded hideaway offers breathtaking views, with parking located just beyond the pond and a trolley available for easy transport of luggage.

Churchay Lotus Belle Tent

Set in a peaceful meadow in a secluded corner of the farm, Churchay features a 6m Lotus Belle Stargazer tent, sleeping four with a king-sized bed and two camp beds suitable for children under 10. Adjacent to the tent, a bathroom shed includes an LPG shower and compost loo, while a covered alfresco kitchen area provides a gas hob, large cool box, pots, pans, utensils, crockery, and cutlery. A firepit is also included for outdoor cooking. Hidden among the trees, a Hikki wood-fired Nordic bathtub offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and night sky. Entirely off-grid, Churchay includes a solar power hub for USB phone and iPad charging, along with battery-powered lighting. All linen and towels are provided, and just a field away, a large wildlife pond surrounded by wildflowers features a picnic bench for guests to enjoy the natural surroundings.

Off-Grid Landpods

Two Hoots Landpod is set beside a scenic wildlife pond, sleeping four in two double bunk beds. Nearby, a bathroom shed offers an LPG shower and compost loo, while a covered alfresco kitchen is equipped with all cooking essentials. A firepit, picnic bench, and deck chairs allow for relaxation outdoors, and a wood-fired bathtub provides the perfect way to unwind. A solar panel ensures lighting and USB charging, with all linen and towels included. Parking is located just beyond the pond, with a trolley available for transporting luggage.

Little Coppet Landpod is situated on the side of Coppet Hill, offering spectacular views across the Marshwood Vale towards Lyme Regis. Sleeping five with two double bunk beds and a single, it features a new wood burner and indoor seating for cooler nights. Adjacent to the Landpod, a bathroom shed includes an LPG shower and compost loo, while a covered alfresco kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, large cool box, pots, pans, utensils, crockery, and cutlery. Guests can enjoy the firepit, picnic bench, and deck chairs, along with a wood-fired bathtub for ultimate relaxation.

Exploring Coppet Hill

Coppet Hill offers plenty of opportunities to explore the farm, whether it’s enjoying a picnic by one of the wildlife ponds, wandering through the atmospheric woodlands, or spotting local wildlife such as deer and badgers. During the summer, a delightful sunflower maze is open for guests to enjoy.

Visiting the Area

The campsite’s location is ideal for exploring Dorset, with over eight miles of footpaths and trails offering breathtaking views of Lyme Bay and the Jurassic Coast from the hilltops. A local farm shop is just three miles away, and within walking distance, visitors will find three welcoming pubs. Nearby, the market town of Bridport offers an antiques quarter and a twice-weekly market, making it a great destination for browsing local finds and experiencing Dorset’s vibrant community.
