Glamping The Wight Way, Freshwater, Isle of Wight

This rural glamping site features four spacious and elegantly furnished safari lodges, each accommodating 6-8 guests, nestled within two interlinking meadows. Situated between Yarmouth and Freshwater in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the lodges boast breathtaking views of the River Yar and the surrounding countryside. The tranquil setting offers a perfect retreat into nature while being just minutes away from exceptional restaurants, beautiful beaches, and a variety of holiday activities.

Each lodge is thoughtfully designed with a layout that comfortably accommodates 6-8 guests. There are three cosy bedrooms for six and a sofa bed in the living area. Modern amenities include instant hot water, solar-powered lighting, a wood-burning stove with an oven and hotplate, a gas hob, an electric fridge, two flushing toilets, and an outdoor shower. A freestanding slipper bath adds a luxurious touch. Guests can unwind on the elevated deck, complete with a swing chair, or gather around the campfire under the stars. Lanterns and fairy lights create a magical atmosphere, while soft linens and plush blankets ensure a restful night’s sleep.

The lodges are designed to maximize comfort and light, featuring multiple windows and wide-glazed front doors, all fitted with privacy blinds. They are insulated from underneath and include an additional roof canopy for extra shelter.

While gently off-grid, the lodges are equipped with solar-powered lighting in every room and USB charging points in the living area. With upgraded off-grid water boilers providing instant hot water, the lodges blend rustic charm with modern conveniences, offering a mindful yet comfortable glamping experience.

The site is both pet-free and vehicle-free, with a private car park located nearby to preserve the peaceful ambience. Guests can immerse themselves fully in the serene surroundings.

Located near footpaths such as the Freshwater Way and the Yarmouth-Freshwater Trail, the site is ideal for walkers keen to explore the area. Bridle paths and cycle routes are easily accessible, and the site offers direct access to the River Yar for canoeing and paddleboarding. The Yar estuary provides a picturesque and safe spot for paddleboarding, catering to both beginners and experienced boarders.
