Glenshee Glamping offers an ideal destination for a holiday immersed in nature, set amidst stunning mountain scenery in Blacklunans, near Blairgowrie in Perthshire. This cosy glamping site spans 10 acres and provides a range of accommodation options, allowing guests to enjoy the outdoors without the hassle of setting up a tent.
The site features various glamping options, including:
- Cosy Wooden Glamping Pod: Accommodates 2 people with a double bed, memory foam mattress, duvet, and pillows.
- Family Glamping Pod: Sleeps 4 and includes a double bed with memory foam mattress and 2 single futons for additional seating or sleeping. Both types of pods are heated, equipped with electric lighting and sockets, and come with complimentary tea, coffee, a kettle, cups, and glasses. Outside, there is a decked area with a picnic table and firepit/BBQ, and guests can hire a wood-fired hot tub for added relaxation.
Additional accommodation options include:
- Blackberry Hut: A shepherd's hut in a meadow, sleeping 2, featuring a wood-burning stove, raised double bed with memory foam mattress, and a small dining area with complimentary tea, coffee, glasses, and cups.
- Tummelberry Hut: Sleeping 4, this shepherd's hut offers stunning mountain views, with a raised double bed and 2 single beds (for which guests are advised to bring sleeping bags). It also includes a wood-burning stove, kettle, and outside picnic bench and fire pit.
- Mulberry Cabin: Accommodating up to 6 people, this cabin includes a double bed, 2 single beds, and a double futon. It also has a wood-burning stove, dining table, and kitchenette with a sink and fridge. Guests are provided with complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cups, and glasses. Outside, there is a circular seating area with a firepit/BBQ.
- The Goods Wagon: A restored LMS Goods Wagon with a British Rail theme, sleeping 5 people with a raised double bed and 3 bunk beds. It features a wood-burning stove, seating, and a bench table. Outside is a large decked area with a picnic table and fire pit.
For those who prefer traditional camping, there are six tent pitches available, offering a wild camping experience with individual bathrooms and hot showers. Linen and towel bundles can be hired, or guests may bring their own.
All guests have access to The Bothy, a communal area with cooking stoves, a microwave, fridge freezer, pots, pans, and crockery. Additionally, a large hot tub for up to 8 adults is available for booking, with a separate wood-fired hot tub option available for pod guests.
On-site activities include **archery**, which can be booked in advance. The surrounding area offers plenty of outdoor pursuits, including hill walking, with trails available for all levels of experience, from low-level walks with stunning mountain views to more challenging hikes up Cairnwell, Creag Leach, and Ben Gulabin.
