Guests can choose from four safari tents situated in the main glamping meadow or opt for a more secluded experience in a yurt nestled behind trees. Each tent includes hot tubs, private showers, and toilets, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the idyllic Devon countryside. The farm also features private oak woods, offering an opportunity to explore nature and meet the friendly farm animals.
Visitors can start their mornings with the sound of birdsong and end their days stargazing from their hot tubs. Each glamping tent is equipped with a cosy wood-burning stove and an outdoor campfire pit, perfect for toasting marshmallows, sharing stories, and enjoying the warmth of the flames. Inside the tents, guests will find fresh bed linen, towels, a welcome pack, and flowers upon arrival, as well as board games and books. Additionally, a children’s toy box, highchair, and travel cot can be provided at no extra charge. Cuckoo Down Farm is also dog-friendly, making it an ideal destination for those travelling with pets.
The safari tents, named Blackberry, Poppy, Daisy, and Primrose after wildflowers found on the farm, each measure five by nine metres and feature a spacious veranda. The tents are spaced about 30 metres apart, situated around a large, gently sloping seven-acre meadow. The Sweet Pea Yurt, located in a small, fenced paddock behind trees, offers seclusion and is perfect for families with dogs and small children. It boasts a six-metre diameter space complete with its own kitchen, shower, toilet, and hot tub.
The farm itself is a peaceful and beautiful setting, surrounded by 30 acres of meadows and woodland. The World Heritage Jurassic Coast is just six miles away, offering access to lovely beaches at Sidmouth, Exmouth, Beer, and Branscombe. Guests can enjoy superb walks directly from the farm and explore the renowned South West Coast Path nearby.
