Gwerniago Campsite, Pennal, Snowdonia National Park, Powys

Gwerniago Campsite is located in the heartland of Mid Wales, at the most southern point of the Snowdonia National Park. Gwerniago is a family run working farm run by a Welsh-speaking family. The campsite is situated on the edge of Pennal village in the beautiful unspoilt Dyfi (Dovey) Valley.

The shower and toilet block consists of four individual toilets, two male and two female and a fully accessible disabled shower and toilet room at the rear of the building. At the front of the building, there are separate male and female shower facilities, providing two cubicles in each, with washbasin facilities. In the centre of the building, there is a family room with a bath and overhead shower, toilet and washbasin, which is particularly suitable for use with young children who need to be supervised. Situated at the side of the building is a small kitchen with a washing up sink, fridge and freezer and power points for charging phones etc. Outside, undercover, there are two sinks with hot water for washing dishes. The hot water is heated by solar panels, backed up by electricity. There is no extra charge for these facilities.

Gwerniago Farm holiday caravan is located next to the campsite in a quiet location within its own separate area offering unrestricted views across the open countryside. The caravan accommodates up to six people, a maximum of four adults. It has three bedrooms, one double and two twins. One twin is suitable to convert to a double. There is a shower and washroom and a separate toilet and basin. The beds will be made up ready for use as required.

The living area is spacious with a TV, with a separate area for dining.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas oven and hob, microwave oven and fridge, toaster and kettle. Crockery, cooking pots, cutlery and various utensils are provided.

Outside the caravan, there is a picnic area with a picnic bench and private parking space for one car adjacent to the caravan. Additional parking is available nearby.

As the caravan is located on a fully working farm, we request that all children be closely supervised by a responsible adult when outside the caravan. Children are welcome to play on the camping field.

The rental includes all electricity and gas. Bed linen is provided. We do permit pets but they must not be allowed in the bedrooms at any time and all dogs must be kept on a lead when outside. Smoking is not permitted in the caravan at any time.

The campsite is popular with walkers, cyclists and families. The site affords elevated views across the beautiful unspoilt Dyfi Valley, woodland, and nearby riverside walks. Campfires are allowed.

If you prefer something less strenuous enjoy walking the golden beaches, strolling through the woodlands, visit the many historic attractions, country walks and take in the peace and quiet of the beautiful unspoilt Welsh countryside and Snowdonia National Park.
