Whitemead Forest Park in Parkend offers stunning facilities for campers, tourers and glampers. The campsite near Lydney is in acres of beautiful woodland.
The camping and caravanning fields are surrounded by glorious woodland. There are grass caravan pitches of various sizes with electric hookups. Grass tent pitches measuring 8m x 8m with 16amp electric hookups are also available. They are suitable for single tents. Gravel hardstanding, part gravel/part grass and non-electric grass tent pitches are also available.
There are an array of glamping pods available. All the pods include bed linen, a USB socket and a TV with DVD player.
B&B Glamping Pod: The glamping pods offer all the comforts of a hotel room and include breakfast from the on-site restaurant.
Mega Pods: These spacious pods sleep up to 4 people in a double bed and corner sofa bed. Toilet and shower facilities are available in the adjacent toilet block.
Mega Pods X: These pods sleep up to 4 people in two double beds. Outside there is a lovely picnic area. These pods come with its own toilet, wash hand basin and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range of appliances to suit all your needs.
Mega Pod XL: These wonderful pods sleep up to 4 people in 2 double beds. These pods come with its own toilet, wash hand basin and shower. The kitchen/living area is fully equipped to meet all your needs. Outside is a picnic area.
There are also a range of cabin/lodges and apartments available. The cabins/lodges sleep up to 6 people and are tastefully furnished throughout. They all come with an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area. You can also relax on the lovely veranda, ideal for a morning coffee whilst the sun is rising.
The apartments are well-equipped and enjoy great views across the park and woodland. They include a cosy open plan living/dining/kitchen area and comfortable bedrooms, some with en suite facilities. Each lodge has its own garden, patio and BBQ.
Excellent onsite facilities include a spa, gym, pool, bar, restaurants and a well-stocked bar to suit all your needs.
There are some fantastic things to see and do in the local area and Whitemead guests can get discounted rates at some of the top attractions. Only an hour away from Whitemead is the Cotswold Motoring Museum, situated in the beautiful Cotswold village of Bourton-on-the-Water. For the children, there's Brum, the little yellow car from the hit children's BBC TV series and for the adults, a trip through the more romantic age of motoring.
