Wyreside Lakes Fishery is situated on 120 acres of farmland at the foot of Bowland Fells in Dolphinholme, Lancashire. Our family-friendly campsite is just a short drive from the lovely county town of Lancaster.
We are a 3 star rated campsite with a full range of facilities for overnight stays, including hard standing pitches and lush green fields to camp on. There are toilets and a shower block including disabled access. For children, there is a safe outdoor play area and lots of wildlife to see. We have a bar and restaurant which is open on weekends, except in the school holidays throughout the year.
There are 24 electrical hookups, 130 seasonal touring pitches, 60 tents and 2 glamping pods.
Wyreside Lakes comprises of a 7 lake complex situated over 120 acres of farmland at the foot of the Bowland Fells. We offer a mixture of carp, pike and coarse fishing with a variety of species and sizes which will provide a challenge to both the professional and novice angler alike. The Fishery is renowned for the quality of carp it has consistently produced over the years and was bestowed the ‘Cooper Heyman’ cup award for excellence in restoration and conservation. If you want to fish, day tickets, overnight tickets and season tickets are available.
If you just want a peaceful break then try the many walks around the lakes and go to the beautiful Fox’s Wood taking in the fantastic views of the River Wyre. If you like to be a bit more lively at the weekend, then come into the Fisherman’s Rest Bar and Restaurant for a superb meal, drinks and a sing-along! The Fisherman’s Rest is the life and soul of Wyreside Lakes Fishery. Fishermen and visitors alike can talk, drink, eat good food – meeting people as strangers and leaving as friends! The restaurant caters for all tastes, from a hearty English breakfast to lunch, sandwiches and bar snacks. On weekend evenings our a la carte menu is available.
Wyreside is ideal for cyclists, pleasure walkers, birdwatchers and people who generally enjoy nature and the outdoors. You are welcome to use our land to ride your horse or bike but horse owners must ring beforehand to check the status of the ground - weather permitting only. There is a £5 charge per day for a car with a trailer or horsebox.
