Dropped Anchor, Breage, Helston, Cornwall

Dropped Anchor in Breage offers pitches for campers and tourers in a spectacular setting. Based near Helston in a tranquil part of Cornwall we boast stunning sea views.

We are a haven for nature lovers looking to escape the pressures of modern life. The only sounds you will hear are the sound of birdsong and the odd cow or tractor from our neighbouring farm. We offer a quirky feel, with old farm memorabilia dotted around the site. The campsite also has plenty of trees, bushes and pots throughout to complete a wonderful stay.

In total, we have 15 generous-sized pitches, with all having their own fire pit and enjoying glorious sea views. Most pitches also have a picnic bench, ideal for a morning coffee whilst savouring the views across
the bay to Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole. Our site is perfect for an authentic off-grid getaway, with no electricity on site. All lighting is solar-powered and you can charge phones or small power packs on our own solar panels for a small charge.

Onsite facilities include toilets and showers, a wet suit wash after a day on the beach, a recycling area, wet suit hire, a recreational area for fun and games, plus a dishwashing area.

You can also stay in our wonderful caravan, Holly. She has her own pitch and enjoys spectacular sea views and includes a picnic table and fire pit. Holly sleeps 2 people in a comfy double bed, ideal for a romantic break. Facilities include a sitting area, kitchen, solar-powered lights and 2 USB sockets, plus a small washroom and a basin. We even offer complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and milk for your arrival.

We are nestled in a brilliant location between The Lizard Peninsula and Lands End Peninsula on the south Cornwall coast, making us a great base for discovering the area. We are close to lots of picturesque villages and towns, gorgeous beaches, majestic coastline and magnificent National Trust properties. The closest beaches on the south coast can be found at Rinsey cove, Praa sands and Porthleven.

Great attractions to visit include The Minack Theatre, Flambards Theme Park, The Seal Sanctuary, The Eden Project & The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
