Doxford Farm Camping offers wonderful glamping facilities in Alnwick, nestled in a gorgeous part of Northumberland. Based on our charming family-run farm, you can savour miles of stunning countryside with miles of farm walks through woodland, lakeside and fields, perfect for an idyllic getaway.
We have an array of fabulous glamping accommodation available, the perfect alternative to the traditional camping experience. You can choose from luxury pods and beautiful bell tents. Set against the background of rolling countryside, we are a true haven for peace and relaxation.
Our wonderful bell tents blend rustic charm with modern comforts, great for a magical break in the country. All the pods sleep 4 people, are beautifully furnished and come with underfloor heating, Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, flushing loo, power shower, fridge/freezer, gas hob, Belfast sink, bunk bed and comfy king size bed for a restful night’s sleep. Outside each pod, there is a decking area and picnic bench, great for a morning coffee whilst savouring the views. A BBQ/firepit is also available.
For those that don’t fancy the hassle of putting up their own tent, we also provide a touch of luxury in our bell tents. These fantastic tents boast sumptuous mattresses, bedding and a toasty stove. The four-meter bell tents sleep 4 people in a double bed and two single beds which can be used as seating. Guests staying in the tents have use of 3 individual bathrooms with a loo, basin and shower. Next to the bathrooms, there is a specific area for dishwashing with large sinks and warm water.
Onsite we have a unique geodome to hire, offering an unforgettable evening under the starry night sky. The is ideal for an evening of entertainment with a range of packages available, such as date night, games night and an evening under the stars.
Our second site is only ¾ miles along the farm road and accommodates caravans, motorhomes and campervans.
We are in the ideal location for exploring the area, with an abundance of scenic walks and cycle routes in the area. Only a few miles are Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands, Seahouses and Chillingham Castle. Further attractions to visit include The Alnwick Garden, Bailiffgate Museum, Fusiliers Museum of Northumberland, Howick Hall Gardens & Arboretum & Edlingham Castle.
