Glencote Caravan Park is a multi award-winning park set in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands. The beautifully landscaped and sheltered park lies in the picturesque valley of the River Churnet, on the outskirts of Cheddleton village and is just 3 miles from the historic market town of Leek. Glencote is in a prime location to explore the stunning scenery of the Moorlands and the delightful dales of the Peak District National Park.
The Churnet Valley Railway, one of the country's favourite heritage lines, runs alongside the park providing a nostalgic reminder of the "glory days of steam". The Boat Inn, a very welcoming canal side pub, and the railway station are just 2 minutes walk away.
World famous names like Wedgwood and Coalport have their factory shops and museums in the Potteries, only 10 miles distant, while for those younger members of the family, Alton Towers is just a few miles down the valley. With a well stocked fishing lake, lots of open space, and a children's play area all on site, as well as superb countryside on our doorstep, there's something for everyone at Glencote.
We have a small fishing lake on site, well stocked with general course fish including carp, tench, chub, roach, perch and bream. The lake area is very pleasantly landscaped, and has been planted to encourage wildlife. The lakeside paths are paved, and there is a sheltered patio area alongside with seating.
